This classic traditional Bengali food recipe is vastly popular in West Bengal and Bangladesh during the summers. It is also referred to as Kathal Chingri.

Ingredients

  • Green Jackfruit - 500 gram
  • Potato - 50 gram
  • Prawn - 200 gram
  • Tomato paste - 2 big
  • Onion paste - 2 big
  • Salt to taste
  • Green chilies paste - 4 pieces
  • Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Kashmiri red chilly powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cardamom - 2 pieces
  • Clove - 4 pieces
  • Cinnamon - 1/2 inch
  • Red pepper - 1 piece
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves
  • Mustard oil as per need
